SAME DAY
CROWNS IN OOLTEWAH, TN
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” designed to restore a damaged tooth’s shape, size, strength, and appearance. At White Oak Dental, we offer same-day dental crowns for patients in Ooltewah, TN and surrounding communities, providing a convenient, efficient solution for restoring your smile without multiple visits.
Once placed, a crown fully covers the visible portion of the tooth above the gum line, protecting it while improving both function and aesthetics. Dr. Brooks uses high-quality, durable materials to create crowns that are long-lasting and exceptionally natural in appearance, so your restored tooth blends seamlessly with your smile.

A dental crown may be needed in order to:
• Protect a weak tooth from breaking or to hold together parts of a cracked tooth
• Restore an already broken tooth or a tooth that has been severely worn down
• Cover and support a tooth with a large filling when there isn't much tooth left
• Hold a dental bridge in place
• Cover misshapen or severely discolored teeth
• Cover a dental implant
• Make a cosmetic modification -
Dr. Brooks or Dr. Black will file the tooth down along the chewing surface and sides to make room for the crown. The amount removed depends on the type of crown used. If, on the other hand, a large area of the tooth is missing (due to decay or damage), our qualified doctors will use filling material to "build up" the tooth to support the crown.
After reshaping the tooth, they will use a digital scanner to make an impression of the tooth to receive the crown. Impressions of the teeth above and below the affected tooth will also be made to make sure that the crown will not affect your bite. If the crown is made of porcelain, your doctor will select the shade that most closely matches the color of the neighboring teeth.

On average, dental crowns last between five and 15 years. The lifespan of a crown depends on the amount of "wear and tear" the crown is exposed to. You should avoid such habits as grinding or clenching your teeth, chewing ice, biting fingernails, and using your teeth to open packaging.

We accept most dental insurance plans and offer flexible payment options to make quality care affordable for your family.

Not at all. The procedure is done under local anesthesia to keep you comfortable. We also offer gentle care for patients with dental anxiety.

Typically, getting a crown takes two visits—one to prepare the tooth and take impressions, and one to place the final crown. Temporary crowns are placed in between for protection using our same-day Cerec machine.
